Students at Gurap came together this past week to celebrate Republic Day, which commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950, a historic achievement from the newly independent nation. The outfits the students are wearing carry a symbolic significance: saffron indicates strength and courage, white represents peace, and green indicates fertility, growth and the auspiciousness of the land.
