The first high school designated to educate only Santal children is open! After generations of students leaving school after 4th grade only to enter lives of struggle and abject poverty, St Xavier’s Gurap is affording our Santal students a chance to dream. And thanks to all the committed donors and supporters of Tribe Rising India, the students will have the resources and opportunities they need to pursue those dreams and to fulfill their potential. With high school graduations, the caste system is disrupted, prosperous lives can be the new norm, and the doors to the abundance of the mainstream economy can be opened. It is indeed a beautiful day!

This year marks the 5th Anniversary of the founding of Tribe Rising India, and we are so excited to celebrate the incredible progress of St Xavier’s Gurap with you! Our 2024 annual fundraising gala will be on Thursday, August 22.

This year’s fundraising has a critical goal. To accommodate the next big influx of students we will need: more teachers and tutors, a new kitchen and refectory, fully equipped science and computer labs, and additions on the boys’ and (new) girls’ dormitories. Your support is essential!
